Get a certified mechanic to work on your Toyota.

Toyota cars and trucks are made to be durable and last. These cars and trucks, like all mechanical items, need service and maintenance to keep them in top running order. When you need a Toyota vehicle worked on, you have many options. Check your car's warranty policy before you spend money on a shop to repair the Toyota. If the warranty is still current you do not have to pay for many repairs and services.

Instructions

things you'll need:

  • Toyota owner's guide
    • 1

Consult your local yellow pages to find Toyota dealerships. Often, the dealership has on-site Toyota mechanics and workshops. Call to schedule your Toyota car's repair.

    • 2

Download the Toyota Shop Tools app off the Toyota website, should you have an iPhone or other smart phone device (see resources). Enter you information into the app to bring up a range of certified Toyota mechanics in your area.

    • 3

Investigate the possibility of purchasing an extended warranty for your Toyota car. Call a Toyota dealership and provide them with your car's make, model and Vehicle Identification number (VIN) -- found on the inside edge of the driver side door. Ask them if you can purchase an extended service warranty for your Toyota car.
